THE SUNSET IN THINGEYRI – application of a 3D model in presenting a planning project and data collection. Following up on an ad of a local plan for The Sunset located near to the north coast of Thingeyri Point, a 3D model of the village of Thingeyri and its surroundings was created and a 3D model showing the boundaries of the proposed structure was integrated. A web survey was created where those interested had the opportunity to look at the planning proposal in 3D, express their opinions on the project in general and on the location proposed. 197 subjects completed >70% of the survey and the results were sent to the municipality of Ísafjarðarbær.
