DJÚPIVOGUR – VÍKURLAND 6A – application of a 3D model in presenting a planning project and data collection.

In connection with a local plan development considering a construction of a new light-industry building in Djúpivogur, a 3D model of Merry Bay in Djúpivogur and its surroundings was created and a 3D model of the new building was integrated. A web survey was created where those interested had the opportunity to look at the planning proposal in 3D, express their opinions on the project in general and on the location proposed. This was the first public web survey run by ENVALYS and through the project a lot of useful information regarding applicability and further development of our methodology and tools was gathered.
